The team at Nordic Huts is so excited to be featured in the first edition for 2019 of Australian Country Magazine!
Out on the 3rd of January, it features the family story and inspiration behind Nordic Huts, and includes photos of the very first hut built for Kat, one of the owners of the company.
Hailing from the Skagen region of Denmark, Kat has been living in Australia for over a decade. Her style is beautifully Nordic, therefore this hut was a natural addition to their property. Focusing on Kat’s obsession with craft, the hut interior is painted white. Colourful and quirky items from both Australia and Denmark dot the interior, making it feel like home.
But the big star of this gallery is Breakfast, the chicken! A beloved family pet, Breakfast had no problems strutting her stuff (especially with lots of grapes as a reward!).
This particular hut, located at the owner’s family farm, also doubles as a kids outdoor play room. Needless to say, it’s been well used over this festive season by family and friends. While this hut was built as a prototype, the interior inspired one of our first clients Robyn. Not only did she love the fresh white interior, but also the Danish black exterior for her home based business.
Where to find Australian Country Magazine
To see more of Kat’s style, there are more images from this shoot here. And, with new photo shoots planned for early 2019, we look forward to showcasing more cool Danish style.
The beautiful images by Andre Elhay photography, styling by Fiona Newman with help from Diana McGrath and video by Maisy Sutcliffe. It’s the perfect magazine for the beach while you’re enjoying a post-Christmas break in the warmer weather.
Australian Country Magazine is a national publication focusing on local stories about rural people and we’re delighted to be a part of it. It’s available at all good newsagents.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2019!
